About
Joshua Mitchell is a Photographer, Videographer, Singer, Director and Instructor who loves all things in the fine arts, technology, and digital learning. “I often tell people I can find beauty in anything but being born and raised in Washington, DC in the 80’s early 90’s sometimes made that search difficult to achieve.” Joshua Mitchell had a passion for the Fine Arts at a young age. His first love was music. He attended the Ellington School of the Arts, a performing arts high school in Washington, DC., for voice where he graduated in 1999. Mitchell then went off to college where he attended the University of Northern Iowa receiving a four-year scholarship in Music Performance. Mitchell, later on, changed his major and graduated from U.N.I. with a Bachelor of Arts in Electronic Media Communication in 2004. After college, he had many different jobs from a camera operator at a local television station, KWWL in Waterloo, IA. to being a crew member on the feature film, “The Season” shot here in Iowa. He decided to go back to school to get his Master’s degree from U.N.I. Mitchell then decided to pursue his master’s in Instructional Technology to better understand how technology is used in support of digital learning. Joshua Mitchell received his Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from the University of Northern Iowa in 2012. Joshua Mitchell has a tremendously impressive eye, creativity & bold style. In a time where many have to find ways to be creative & different, Joshua Mitchell is doing it NATURALLY!
